The House Committee on Natural Resources held a Field Hearing in Cedar City on Monday, May 12, 2025 to discuss geothermal energy development in Utah. The hearing was an opportunity to hold Rep. Celeste Maloy (R-UT-2) accountable for her ongoing attacks on public lands. There were 4 people from industry and academia presenting as well a 3 congress people. Approximately 50 people showed up to confront Rep. Maloy who held an impromptu Q&A session following the hearing.
