Across the United States, the ideals of democracy are under direct assault. The Constitution—once a sacred contract between government and the governed—is being warped, undermined, and ignored. Number 47, the current occupant of the White House, has proven even more cruel, chaotic, and dangerously incompetent than many feared. His leadership doesn’t just insult the office; it threatens the very soul of the nation.
But amid the noise, confusion, and heartbreak, people are rising.
In Washington County, Utah—a place often overlooked in national conversations—a quiet rebellion is taking root. Formed in March by a small but determined group of volunteers, TogetherWorks Southern Utah (TWSU) emerged with one unshakable belief: we cannot, and will not, sit by in silence.
TWSU is not a party, it is a promise. A promise that democracy still lives in the hearts of the people. A non-partisan 501(c)(4, TWSU is a rare coalition of independents, Democrats, and disillusioned Republicans—never-Trumpers and newly awakened citizens—bound not by labels, but by shared purpose. We are educating, organizing, and standing together to ensure that every member of our community is informed and empowered.
In just two months, TWSU has already sponsored multiple protests, a town hall, and a community gathering. Our mission stretches beyond politics—we are forming mutual aid networks to meet growing needs as prices rise and services are slashed. We know the stakes: isolated seniors, struggling families, LGBTQ+ neighbors, and the deeply impoverished are at risk of slipping through society’s cracks. We won’t let them.

Change is not only coming—it is already here. A local chapter of Indivisible has statred joining a national chorus of grassroots organizers fighting for progressive policies and real representation.
